Advanced Diploma
Who this is for
Practitioners who want to become competent clinical practitioners in a specific division. This is where you go from literacy to practice. You leave this tier able to assess, formulate, treat, and manage within your chosen division's therapeutic framework.
What you'll learn
Deep divisional specialisation. One mandatory cross-divisional elective — so a herbalist also gets exposure to systems medicine, or an entheogenic modalities student also studies somatic therapeutics. The cross-divisional requirement is a design feature. It prevents siloed thinking.
Divisional Specialisation
Advanced clinical knowledge within your chosen division. Assessment frameworks, therapeutic protocols, case formulation at increasing complexity. The depth that Tier 1 literacy didn't provide.
Cross-Divisional Elective
Mandatory exposure to one other division. This is not optional. Every practitioner trained at the Institute understands that no patient lives within a single division's framework.
Clinical Hours
200 hours supervised clinical practice within Sohma House or approved partner sites. Real patient contact under mentorship — not observation, not simulation.
Delivery structure
Didactic Content
Self-paced study modules covering advanced divisional content. Completed on your own schedule. Reading, case preparation, and reflective practice.
Clinical Mentorship Rotations
Scheduled clinical mentorship within Sohma House. Supervised patient consultations, real-time clinical reasoning, peer case conferencing sessions. Every synchronous hour earns its place.
Assessment
Clinical portfolio. Case documentation, reflective practice records, supervisor evaluations, and peer review. No written examinations. The portfolio becomes your ongoing professional development record — it doesn't end when the credential is granted.
Prerequisites
Foundation Certificate (Tier 1) or equivalent prior learning assessment. Practitioners with substantial existing clinical experience in relevant disciplines may apply for recognition of prior learning.
